Extra Easy Caramel Apple Pie

Quick and easy one-crust pie made with Bisquick® mix for a soft and tender dough - no rolling required! Pecans bring crunch, while caramel topping adds gooey deliciousness.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup caramel butterscotch or fleur de sel caramel topping
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups Bisquick mix and 1/4 cup softened butter using a fork until crumbly. Pour in boiling water and stir vigorously with the fork until a dough forms. Shape the dough into a ball, then press it firmly and evenly onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate, and flute the edge.
  • Evenly distribute the filling into the crust.
  • Combine 1 cup Bisquick mix and brown sugar in a small bowl. Cut in 3 tablespoons cold butter until mixture is crumbly, then mix in pecans. Sprinkle over filling.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then cover the top of the pie with foil and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Allow the pie to cool for 2 to 3 hours before serving. Drizzle with Caramel Topping before serving.
