Deliciously crispy chicken strips, perfect for even the pickiest eaters. Pair with your preferred dipping sauce to enjoy!
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast tenders
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs and water until fully combined.
  • Dredge chicken strips in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Dip strips in egg, then coat again with flour. Repeat the process, ending with a final coat of flour. Place coated strips on a plate as you coat the rest of the chicken.
  • Allow the strips to rest for 5 minutes so the flour can properly absorb and adhere.
  • Heat oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C; you can test it by dropping a little water in - it should sizzle).
  • Fry strips in batches until golden brown, fully cooked, and crispy, about 8 minutes per side. Use a thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Place strips on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any extra grease.
