Make homemade bread effortlessly using a food processor for quicker kneading, yielding two delicious loaves in just 3 hours.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups warm water (100 to 110 degrees F/40 to 45 degrees C)
  • 4 teaspoons bread flour
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 3.3333332538605 cups bread flour
  • 0.66666668653488 cup quick cooking oats
  • 0.66666668653488 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3.5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3.5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine warm water with 4 teaspoons of bread flour, yeast, and white sugar. Whisk vigorously until well blended and the sugar dissolves. Allow the mixture to rest until the yeast creates creamy bubbles, approximately 5 minutes.
  • In a large food processor with the dough blade, mix together 3 1/2 cups bread flour, oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, oil, and salt. Turn on the processor and gradually pour in the yeast mixture until a firm dough ball forms and pulls away from the sides, approximately 1 minute. Continue processing for an additional 30 seconds to knead the dough.
  • Place the dough in an oiled bowl, ensuring it's evenly coated. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise until doubled in size, approximately 1 hour. Once risen, punch down the dough, divide it in half, and shape each half into a loaf by pinching the seams and ends closed.
  • Prepare the loaf pans by greasing them. Put the loaves into the pans with the seam-side facing down. Allow the dough to rise until it reaches one inch above the top of the pans, approximately 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes until the tops are golden brown. Allow the bread to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks to finish cooling.
