Create a speedy and tasty meal for your loved ones - pasta with herb-infused Polish sausage and veggies. Ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 4 oz. uncooked vermicelli or spaghetti, broken
  • 4 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (4.5-oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (1-lb.) pkg. Frozen Broccoli Cuts
  • 1 (1-lb.) smoked sausage or Polish sausage ring, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
  • Prepare the vermicelli according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with hot water. Return to the saucepan and stir in 1 tablespoon of margarine. Cover to keep warm.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of margarine. Add in the onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and broccoli. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the broccoli is thawed, stirring frequently.
  • Lower the heat to medium and introduce the sausage, oregano, and garlic powder. Blend the ingredients thoroughly. Cook for approximately 5 minutes or until fully heated, stirring occasionally.
  • Spread the warm vermicelli on a serving platter, layer with the sausage and vegetable mixture, and finish by generously sprinkling with Parmesan cheese.
