Brown sugar sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and cheese baked in a crescent roll crust for a delicious family breakfast bake.
Ingredients:
  • 1 serving cooking spray
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C, gas mark 5) and generously coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage and brown sugar until crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Discard excess grease, transfer sausage to a bowl, and wipe the skillet clean.
  • In a clean skillet over low heat, melt the butter. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet. Cook the eggs undisturbed until they begin to set, then gently stir until the curds are separate, set, but still moist, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Press the crescent roll dough into the pan, creating a bottom and side crust. Fill with layers of sausage, scrambled eggs, and Colby-Monterey Jack cheese. Top with the remaining dough and seal the edges by pinching them together.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown, about 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven.
