  • 4 (8 ounce) fresh salmon fillets
  • salt to taste
  • 0.33333334326744 cup cold water
  • 0.25 cup seasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions:
  • Prepare the grill by preheating it to medium heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Sprinkle the salmon fillets with a pinch of salt.
  • Grill the salmon over high heat for 6 to 8 minutes on each side until it easily flakes with a fork.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, simmer water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chile paste, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce until combined.
  • Bring the mixture to a bubbling boil, then lower the heat to medium and simmer until it slightly thickens, approximately 2 minutes.
  • Top the salmon with a generous sprinkle of basil, then drizzle the glaze over the herb-infused fish.
