Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.33333334326744 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  • Combine creamy cheese, a hint of sweetness from 1/3 cup of sugar, and a luscious egg, blending them together until perfectly smooth. Set aside to enhance the flavors.
  • In a mixing bowl, vigorously beat 2 eggs until frothy. Then, blend in oil, milk, and lemon rind.
  • Combine flour, 1/3 cup sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and walnuts in a separate bowl. Mix well. Add this mixture to the mixing bowl and stir with milk until just combined. Spoon half of the batter into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Spread the cheese mixture on top, then spoon the remaining batter on top in dollops.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before carefully transferring to a cooling rack.
