Indulge in a decadent fig honey jam infused with warm spices and nuts, perfect for elevating your cheese board.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups Mission figs, stemmed
  • 2 cups honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • In a large pot, bring together figs, honey, water, butter, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, salt, and ginger. Let it come to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer until the figs are soft, around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Use an immersion blender to blend the fig mixture until it reaches your preferred consistency. Add walnuts and cook for another 15 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  • Take the pot off the heat and transfer the jam into a container. Chill in the refrigerator for up to a month.
