Figs in honey

Total Time:
4 hours 5 minutes
Elevate your cheeseboard with the delicious pairing of fig and honey.
Ingredients:
  • 24 figs halved
  • 2 clementines
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 1 large jar runny honey
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 110ºC/225ºF/gas ¼. Place figs, cut-side up, on a baking tray. Grate clementine zest over figs and sprinkle with cinnamon and a teaspoon of sugar. Bake figs for 4 hours, checking periodically. Once done, you'll have semi-dehydrated figs akin to wine gums. For a festive touch, pack them in a sterilized jar, cover with honey, and seal tightly. Enjoy them on a cheese platter, in tarts, sticky toffee pudding, or paired with roasted meat. Share with friends for a unique treat, and delight them with the versatile uses of this lovely gift.
