Savory dip with caramelized onions, sour cream, and goat cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 large yellow onion, halved and sliced thin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1 pinch brown sugar
  • 1.5 ounces fresh goat cheese, crumbled
  • 2.5 cups sour cream
Instructions:
  • In a shallow skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Sauté onion until translucent. Season with salt, pepper, basil, paprika, tarragon, and brown sugar. Reduce heat to medium and cook until onions are soft and caramelized, about 10 to 15 minutes. Let cool before using.
  • Combine the creamy goat cheese and tangy sour cream in a bowl, then gently fold in the onions.
