Foolproof baked trout in foil with jalapenos: Sealed for maximum flavor and tenderness, no fishy smell.
Ingredients:
  • 2 rainbow trout fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 sheets heavy-duty aluminum foil
  • 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Begin by gently rinsing the fillets and then delicately drying them with a gentle pat. Next, massage the fillets with fragrant olive oil, then generously season them with garlic salt and black pepper. Lay each fillet on a spacious sheet of aluminum foil. Add a layer of spicy jalapeno slices on top, followed by a refreshing squeeze of lemon juice. Finally, elegantly top the fillets with the remaining slices of lemon.
  • Seal the edges of the foil to create packets and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Simply bake in the preheated oven until the fish easily flakes with a fork, about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the fillets.
