Create a luscious Flan with just 5 ingredients in 15 mins for a decadent treat that melts in your mouth.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Melt 1/2 cup sugar in a small heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until it turns into a golden brown liquid. Pour the sugar syrup evenly into four 6-ounce custard cups, tilting the cups to cover the bottoms. Let the syrup harden in the cups for about 5 minutes.
  • Combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour the mixture into custard cups. Arrange the cups in a 9x9x2-inch square pan on the oven rack. Carefully pour very hot water into the pan, filling it to within 1/2 inch of the tops of the cups.
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes until a knife inserted between the center and edge comes out clean. Remove from water, unmold, and serve warm. Alternatively, refrigerate for up to 8 hours, then unmold before serving.
