Flapjacks recipe

British flapjack made with only 4 ingredients, a simple and delicious snack for any time!
Ingredients:
  • 140g butter, chopped
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) golden syrup
  • 80g (1/2 cup, lightly packed) brown sugar
  • 225g rolled oats
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C (160C fan forced). Grease a 16 x 26cm slice pan and line it with baking paper, leaving some paper to hang over the sides.
  • In a big saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter with golden syrup and sugar. Mix in oats until fully combined.
  • Evenly layer the oat mixture onto the prepared pan, using a spoon to create a smooth surface. Bake for 20 minutes until the edges turn golden. Let it cool in the pan for around 10 minutes, then cut into 12 rectangles while it's still warm. Allow it to fully cool before serving.
  • Gently lift the flapjacks using the baking paper and cut them into pieces following the scored lines. Enjoy!
