Nutty, earthy crackers perfect for dipping and spreading. Customize with different seasonings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup raw flax seeds
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup cold water
Instructions:
  • Combine flax seeds, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne in a mixing bowl. Pour in water and stir well. Cover with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 200 degrees F (95 degrees C) and prepare a rimmed baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  • Spread the soaked flax seeds into a thin, 1/8 inch thick rectangle on the baking sheet. Use a spatula to score the rectangle into 32 small rectangles.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until flax seeds are slightly darkened and contracted, approximately 3 hours. Allow to cool in oven with door cracked open. Break into individual crackers.
