Make a rich and indulgent flourless chocolate lava cake with just 5 simple ingredients for a quick and irresistible dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces 70% bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 12 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and position a rack in the center. Grease six 4-ounce ramekins with butter.
  • Place the chocolate and butter in a metal or glass bowl over gently simmering water. Stir occasionally until completely melted, then remove from the heat.
  • In a mixer bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and salt. Whip on medium-high speed until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Switch to low speed, add chocolate, and mix until combined. Spoon mixture into ramekins on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for around 10 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center is still gooey. Allow to cool for 3 minutes before serving.
