Savory French toast bacon sandwich.
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 slices bread
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup
Instructions:
  • Coat bread slices in beaten eggs. Heat lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Set aside, keeping warm.
  • In a large, deep skillet, crisp up the bacon over medium-high heat until beautifully browned. Remove the bacon and set it aside. Keep 1 tablespoon of the delicious bacon grease in the skillet to fry the remaining two eggs.
  • Place one piece of French toast on each of two plates. Top each with a fried egg and strips of bacon, then cover with the remaining pieces of French toast. Drizzle with syrup.
