Quick and easy homemade cranberry sauce - just cranberries, water, and sugar. Elevate your Thanksgiving spread with this vibrant and delicious dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries (such as Ocean Spray®)
Instructions:
  • Assemble all ingredients.
  • In a saucepan, bring water to a vigorous boil. Stir in sugar and cook until fully dissolved, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine cranberries with saucepan over heat until boiling. Lower heat and simmer until cranberries burst and sauce thickens, around 10 minutes or longer for preferred thickness. Cook longer for smoother texture.
  • Transfer the sauce into a serving dish or jars, cover, and let it sit until needed; the cranberries' natural pectin will cause the sauce to thicken as it cools.
  • Fluff up the cranberry sauce with a fork before serving.
