Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Strawberry and marshmallow-topped fluffy yellow cake.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups crushed fresh strawberries
  • 1 (6 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O® mix
  • 3 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix, batter prepared as directed on package
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • First, layer the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan with crushed strawberries. Sprinkle the strawberries evenly with dry gelatin powder, then generously top them with mini marshmallows.
  • Follow the instructions on the cake mix package, then pour the batter over the marshmallows. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, for about 40 to 50 minutes. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then gently loosen the sides with a knife and flip it onto a serving tray. Refrigerate the cake for storage.
