Trending crispy beef tacos with juicy filling. Press meat on tortilla, fry for ultimate crunch. Easy to make and delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil, or as needed, for frying
  • 8 (5-inch) corn tortillas
  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped white onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Salsa, for serving
Instructions:
  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • Place 8 tortillas in a single layer on a surface.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the beef, taco seasoning, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt until well combined.
  • Spread a generous amount of 1/4 cup of beef mixture onto one side of each tortilla.
  • Heat a 1/4-inch layer of oil in a high-sided skillet over medium heat until it shimmers. Cook each taco flat in batches, adding them one at a time to the hot oil with caution.
  • Using a pair of tongs, fold the beef filling into the tortilla once it has softened, approximately 5 seconds.
  • Sear the beef until the shell is golden brown and the center is no longer pink, about 30 seconds to 1 minute per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the center reaches at least 160°F (70°C).
  • Place on a paper towel-lined plate and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  • Top with fresh chopped onion and cilantro, and serve with lime wedges, salsa, and hot sauce for a flavorful finish.
