Classic fried chicken: flour, salt, pepper in fried in vegetable oil.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (4 pound) chicken, cut into pieces
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour for coating
  • 2 quarts vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then coat with flour. Cook chicken in the skillet until golden brown on each side and cooked through. Drain on paper towels before serving.
