Delicious crab cakes with crispy panko coating, served with a quick and flavorful chipotle mayo sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 0.33333334326744 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 0.5 pound cooked lump crabmeat, drained
  • 0.25 cup panko bread crumbs, or as needed
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce from chipotle peppers
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Combine 1/3 cup panko, egg, parsley, mayonnaise, seafood seasoning, and mustard in a bowl. Add crabmeat, gently fold together. Shape into 4 patties and coat with the remaining panko.
  • In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, crisp up the patties in coconut oil for about 12 minutes, flipping them once.
  • While the patties are cooking, make the sauce by blending mayonnaise, chipotle pepper, adobo sauce, and lemon juice in a food processor until smooth.
  • Present the crab cakes with the sauce served alongside.
