Crispy beer-battered onion rings, perfect for any occasion. Can also be used to fry other veggies. Batter can be made ahead and stored in the fridge or freezer for later use. *Tip: Carbonated water can be used as a beer substitute.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 4 onions, peeled and sliced into rings
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a large, deep skillet until it reaches 365 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Combine flour, beer, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until smooth. Coat onion slices in the batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
