Crispy ranch panko pickles: Perfect appetizer with dip, made from hand-cut whole pickles.
Ingredients:
  • 4 to 6 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons dry ranch dressing mix (from 1-oz package)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups Progresso™ panko crispy bread crumbs
  • 12 crisp pickle spears
Instructions:
  • Warm the oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375°F.
  • In one shallow bowl, combine the flour and dressing mix. In another shallow bowl, whisk the eggs. Finally, place the bread crumbs in a third shallow bowl.
  • Coat each pickle spear twice: first in flour mixture and egg, then again in flour and egg. Finish by coating the pickle spear with bread crumbs.
  • Fry the breaded pickles in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes, flipping once, until they are a deep golden brown. Drain the fried pickles on a cooling rack or paper towels.
