Elevate a boxed cake mix for a quick and delicious dessert that will leave your guests craving more!
Ingredients:
  • 340g Golden Buttercake packet cake mix
  • 60g butter, softened
  • 130.00 gm buttermilk
  • 130.00 gm mashed banana
  • 37.95 gm finely chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced) then prepare a 6cm-deep, 19cm square cake pan by greasing it and lining the base and sides with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix with eggs, butter, and buttermilk. Use an electric mixer on low speed until just combined, about 30 seconds. Increase speed to medium and beat for 4 minutes until mixture is pale and creamy. Fold in banana and walnuts, then transfer mixture to prepared pan.
  • Bake until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Frost the top and serve.
