Indulge in a decadent chocolate malt cake with creamy fudge frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/4 cup chocolate-flavor malted milk powder
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate-flavor malted milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened baking cocoa
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and line 16 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups. In a large bowl, blend all cupcake ingredients together using an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, making sure to scrape the bowl constantly. Increase the speed to medium and beat for 4 minutes, remembering to scrape the bowl occasionally. Spoon the batter evenly into the muffin cups.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the pan right away and allow to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Combine malted milk powder and milk in a medium bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then, mix in the rest of the frosting ingredients and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth. Finally, spread the frosting over the cupcakes.
