Frosted Mocha Espresso Brownies

Indulge in irresistible frosted mocha brownies crafted with Betty Crocker® fudge brownie mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso coffee powder or granules
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 teaspoon instant espresso coffee powder or granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons whipping cream
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously grease the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Mix brownie mix, 2 tablespoons of coffee powder, oil, water, and eggs in a large bowl with a wooden spoon until well combined. Add chocolate chips and spread batter in pan.
  • Bake the brownies for 24 to 26 minutes until they start to pull away from the sides of the pan. Allow them to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to blend butter, 3/4 teaspoon coffee powder, and vanilla until creamy. Slowly add powdered sugar and mix until combined. Stir in whipping cream. Spread the frosting over the brownies and cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
