Indulgent holiday bars bursting with cranberries, apricots, and nuts - a festive treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 can (about 9 oz) salted mixed nuts (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 cup quartered dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously grease a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, brown sugar, and butter using a fork until the mixture is crumbly. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan.
  • Combine the filling ingredients in the same bowl and then spoon it onto the crust, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake until golden brown, around 25 to 30 minutes. Let it cool for about 45 minutes. Cut into squares by making 8 parallel cuts horizontally and 6 parallel cuts vertically.
