Delicious fruit and chocolate chip bars with almond honey-oat topping on a buttery crust.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup fruit preserves
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.75 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 0.33333334326744 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9-inch square pan.
  • Combine flour, 1/2 cup butter, and sugar until a cohesive mixture forms. Press into the bottom of the pan.
  • Bake until beautifully golden, for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Combine the preserves and chocolate chips in a large bowl.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with honey until smooth. Add oats and almonds, stirring to combine.
  • Spread the delicious preserve mixture over the golden-baked crust, then generously sprinkle the oat mixture on top. Bake until beautifully golden, for about 15 to 20 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting into irresistible bars.
