Decadent 5-ingredient bars with layers of chocolate chip cookies and a fudgy chocolate filling using a secret ingredient, Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy chocolate frosting. Perfect for any occasion and simple enough for a quick treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
  • 1/2 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Chocolate Frosting
  • 2 oz (from 8-oz package) cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously coat a 9-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cookie mix, butter, and egg until a soft dough forms. Set aside 3/4 cup of the cookie dough. Press the remaining dough evenly into the bottom of the pan.
  • Combine frosting and cream cheese in a small bowl until smooth. Spread this delicious mixture over the cookie base, then sprinkle the remaining cookie dough pieces on top. Enjoy!
  • Bake for 30-34 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Allow it to cool completely for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, then slice into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
