Garlic Chicken with Rice

Slow cooked chicken and rice made effortlessly flavorful with Progresso™ chicken broth - a must-try for dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package (6 oz) original long-grain and wild rice mix
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 small red bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 3/4 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 3 1/2 lb bone-in chicken pieces, skin removed
Instructions:
  • Prepare the slow cooker by spraying it with cooking spray. Combine rice, seasoning packet, onion, bell pepper, oil, garlic, and broth in the slow cooker. Place the chicken on top.
  • Cover and simmer gently on Low heat for 5 to 6 hours.
