Garlic Green Beans

Greek-style green beans with Kalamata olives and oregano - ready in just 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound green beans
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup pitted Kalamata olives, cut in half
Instructions:
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, cover beans with 1 inch of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 6 to 8 minutes until beans are crisp-tender. Drain before serving.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, warm butter, oregano, garlic, and salt for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in beans and olives until well coated.
