Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions:
  • In a pot, simmer green beans in water until tender for about 10 minutes. Drain, keeping beans in the pot.
  • Lay bacon strips on a microwave-safe plate and microwave until crisp, approximately 2 minutes. Allow the bacon to cool, then crumble it.
  • Combine butter and crispy bacon with beans in the pot over medium heat. Cook until the butter melts for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant for 3 to 4 minutes. Finish by adding lemon zest and stirring well.
