Savory green beans with bacon, garlic, and onion served over fluffy rice for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 cups water
  • 0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until browned but not crispy. Push bacon to the sides and add onions and garlic to the bacon grease. Cook until onions are barely translucent. Stir in green beans and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a pot. Simmer uncovered over low heat until water evaporates and green beans are tender, approximately 1 hour.
