Savory meatballs with green peppers, onions, and Italian bread crumbs, baked in a rich golden mushroom sauce. A delicious homemade creation!
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 0.33333334326744 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1.5 cups Italian-style dry bread crumbs
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons browning sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for optimal baking results.
  • In a spacious bowl, mix together ground beef, green pepper, onion, eggs, seasoned bread crumbs, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  • Form the meat mixture into generous 2-inch meatballs and arrange them evenly spaced on a spacious baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, begin preparing the sauce.
  • Combine soup, mushrooms, sour cream, milk, browning sauce, salt, and pepper in a 9x13 inch baking dish until thoroughly mixed.
  • After baking the meatballs, transfer them to the flavorful soup. Mix well to coat the meatballs. Pop them back in the oven and bake until the sauce bubbles, about 20-30 minutes.
