Juicy brown sugar chicken glazed in honey-garlic sauce, baked to perfection for a crispy skin.
Ingredients:
  • 8 (5 ounce) bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried basil
Instructions:
  • Prepare all the ingredients.
  • Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Sprinkle chicken thighs with a perfect blend of salt and pepper.
  • In a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until sizzling. Place the chicken skin-side down and sear until golden brown on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes each. Transfer the chicken to a plate.
  • Melt the remaining butter in the skillet, stirring to release flavorful browned bits. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Mix in brown sugar, honey, oregano, thyme, and basil until fully combined. Turn off the heat and place the chicken back in the skillet, skin-side down.
  • Roast the chicken in the preheated oven until fully cooked, about 25 to 40 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting an instant-read thermometer near the bone, it should read 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve by elegantly drizzling the pan sauce over the succulent chicken thighs.
