Elevate green beans with shallots, garlic, and Parmesan for a perfect Thanksgiving side.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large shallot, chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 15 ounces fresh green beans, trimmed
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, combine butter and olive oil until melted. Sauté shallot and garlic in the fragrant mixture, stirring often, until tender and golden, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Toss green beans in shallot mixture, season with salt and pepper, then cook until tender for about 12 minutes.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the green beans off the heat.
