Pan Fried Green Beans

Whip up delicious garlicky green beans, tender with a hint of char.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder, or to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
  • Prepare your ingredients.
  • In a stainless steel pot over medium-high heat, mix green beans with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook covered until the beans begin to sweat. Uncover and stir occasionally until beans are tender.
  • Once the beans and spices start to char at the bottom of the pan, mix in olive oil and remove from heat. Cover and allow to sit for a few minutes.
  • Incorporate charred spices from the bottom of the pan to achieve a dark caramel color on the beans, making sure not to let them turn black.
