Upgrade your chocolate cake with a decadent layer of coconut-walnut frosting made with fat-free evaporated milk.
Ingredients:
  • 2 egg whites, lightly beaten
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can fat-free evaporated milk
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup light butter, softened
  • 1 (7 ounce) package flaked coconut
Instructions:
  • Combine lightly beaten egg whites, evaporated milk, sugar, and light butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Gently combine the coconut and walnuts into the creamy mixture. Allow it to cool completely before using.
