Elevate your pecan pie with rich chocolate chips and shredded coconut for a decadent twist inspired by German Chocolate Cake.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
  • 0.75 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 0.75 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (9 inch) deep dish prepared pie crust
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla until light and well blended. Mix in pecans and coconut. Sprinkle chocolate chips in the pie crust, then pour the syrup mixture over them.
  • Bake until the top is firm, for about 55 to 60 minutes in a preheated oven. Allow to cool completely on a rack before serving, around 2 hours.
