Flavorful Italian herb meatballs wrapped in crispy bacon for a delicious main course.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.5 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 pound sliced bacon, cut in half crosswise
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine ground beef, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, bread crumbs, garlic, onion powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil in a large bowl, ensuring all ingredients are well mixed. Shape mixture into 2-inch meatballs.
  • Wrap a half slice of bacon around a meatball, turning it at a 45-degree angle, then wrap another half slice of bacon around the meatball, ensuring the meat is completely enclosed. Repeat for a total of 12 meatballs, each wrapped in two half slices of bacon. Place the bacon-wrapped meatballs seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Roast in the oven until meatballs are cooked through and bacon is crispy, approximately 45 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to ensure meatballs reach 160°F (70°C) internal temperature. Discard any excess grease.
