Giant chicken stroganoff vol-au-vent recipe

Elevate the party favorite into a satisfying family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 6 sheets frozen puff pastry, just thawed
  • Chicken stroganoff, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 220°C (200°C if using a fan-forced setting) and prepare a baking tray with a cozy layer of baking paper.
  • 1. Use a plate to trace and cut a 24cm disc from 1 sheet of pastry. Place on a tray. 2. Repeat with another sheet to create a second 24cm disc. Then, using a smaller plate, trace and cut out a 20cm round to form a ring. Repeat this process to make a total of 5 rings.
  • Brush the edge of a 24cm round pastry with beaten egg and then layer the rings on top, brushing each one with egg as you go.
  • Poke base all over with a fork. Bake for 15 minutes, then brush sides with beaten egg and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Fill with delicious chicken stroganoff and enjoy!
