Ginger Garlic Marinade

Savory teriyaki marinade doubles as basting sauce and dipping option.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated gingerroot
Instructions:
  • Combine all ingredients in a shallow glass dish or resealable plastic bag. Add 1 to 2 pounds of boneless beef, pork, chicken, or fish, making sure to coat them evenly with the marinade. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours.
  • Pat dry the marinated meat. Grill to your liking, basting with marinade. Simmer the reserved marinade until boiling, then stir for 1 minute. Serve hot with the grilled meat.
