Elevate your baked ham with a tangy mango glaze.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 pound) fully-cooked, bone-in ham
  • 2 cups mango nectar, divided, or more as needed
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger root
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup mango preserves
  • 0.5 cup white wine
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Score the top of the ham in an attractive diamond pattern using a serrated knife. Set the ham on a roasting rack in a pan and drizzle 1 1/2 cups of mango nectar over it.
  • Roast the ham in the preheated oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees F (60 degrees C), for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Then, raise the oven temperature to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Combine brown sugar, Dijon mustard, ginger root, cinnamon, and cloves in a small bowl and mix well.
  • In a saucepan, mix together mango preserves, white wine, and the rest of the mango nectar. Bring to a boil, add the brown sugar mixture, lower the heat, and simmer until the glaze thickens, about 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Coat ham generously with glaze and bake until bubbly, about 10 more minutes. Rest ham for 15 to 20 minutes before carving.
