Create a flavorful apple cake with a hint of cinnamon and allspice using Betty Crocker® Gluten Free yellow cake mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (15 oz) Betty Crocker™ Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 cups chopped peeled apples (cooking/baking variety)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease the bottom of a 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Prepare the cake batter following the instructions on the box by mixing all ingredients, except for the apples, in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes. Gently fold in the chopped apples and spread the batter in the pan.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cut into 16 squares.
