Indulge in a delectable autumn dessert bursting with apple, caramel, cinnamon, and brown sugar flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Betty Crocker™ All-Purpose Gluten Free Rice Flour Blend
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 6 medium tart cooking apples, peeled and sliced (6 cups)
  • 3/4 cup Betty Crocker™ All-Purpose Gluten Free Rice Flour Blend
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cut in small pieces
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, bring 1/3 cup of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of butter to a boil, stirring constantly. Take it off the heat and mix in whipping cream and corn syrup. Bring to a boil again, then set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray. Combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon flour blend, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl. Coat apples with the sugar mixture in a large bowl, then transfer them to the baking dish. Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the apples.
  • Combine 3/4 cup flour blend and 1/3 cup brown sugar in a medium bowl. Add cold butter and blend until mixture becomes crumbly. Mix in pecans, then spread evenly over the caramel and apples.
  • Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the topping turns golden brown and the apples are tender. Enjoy warm with a scoop of ice cream, if desired.
