Crispy gluten-free fried mozzarella bites, a delicious snack or appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup gluten-free corn flakes
  • 0.25 cup potato starch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 (8 ounce) balls fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into wedges
  • vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Add corn flakes to the food processor bowl and pulse until finely crushed.
  • In a shallow dish, mix together crushed corn flakes, potato starch, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning. In a separate shallow dish, beat the egg.
  • Coat mozzarella cheese pieces in egg, then in the corn flake mixture for a crispy and delicious finish.
  • Heat oil in a skillet until it shimmers. Fry breaded mozzarella cheese until golden brown on each side for about 30 seconds. Drain on a wire rack-lined baking pan to remove excess grease.
