Indulgent gluten-free brownie mix with rich chocolate, gooey caramel, and crunchy nuts for a delicious turtle-inspired treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie Mix
  • Butter and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  • 25 caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and grease the bottom of an 8- or 9-inch square pan. In a medium bowl, mix brownie mix, butter, and eggs until well combined. Spread 2/3 of the batter in the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  • In a medium microwavable bowl, heat caramels and whipping cream uncovered on High for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth. Pour the caramel evenly over the partially baked brownie. Sprinkle with half of the chocolate chips and half of the pecans. Spoon the remaining brownie batter in small dollops onto the caramel layer. Finish by sprinkling the remaining chocolate chips and pecans on top.
  • Continue baking for an additional 20-25 minutes until the brownie crust is beautifully dry on top. Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing them into perfect squares, creating 4 rows by 4 rows.
