Savor a refreshing bourbon cocktail for summer with just bourbon, honey, and lemon juice.
Ingredients:
  • For the honey syrup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • For the cocktail
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce honey syrup
  • Lemon peel or slice, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
  • Prepare the honey syrup by combining honey and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer gently for about 2 minutes until fully combined. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes. Store any extra syrup in the fridge for up to 1 month in an airtight container.
  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine bourbon, lemon juice, and 1/2 ounce of honey syrup. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until very cold.
  • Strain the cocktail into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist, if preferred, before serving.
