Create a delicious dessert using pantry basics and frozen berries.
Ingredients:
  • 450g frozen mixed berries
  • 12.00 gm pure icing sugar
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) Grand Marnier
  • 270g (1 1/4 cups) caster sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Arrange four 330ml (1 1/3-cup capacity) ovenproof dishes on a baking tray. Distribute the berries evenly among the dishes. Dust with icing sugar and generously drizzle Grand Marnier over the top.
  • Beat egg whites with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Slowly add caster sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is thick, glossy, and the sugar is almost dissolved.
  • Spread the meringue over the berries, then bake for 15 minutes, or until the meringue is crisp on top. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
