Renowned blogger Beth Dooley shares a beloved recipe from Seasonal Appetites.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 top sirloin steak, about 1 to 1 1/4 lb
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 450°F, then season both sides of the steak with a light sprinkling of salt and pepper.
  • Preheat oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 4 minutes on each side until it has a nice brown crust. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the steak is medium rare and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Take the steak out of the oven and generously drizzle with vinegar. Let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing on a diagonal.
